How do you expect me to teach math when there is a moose parading around the school?!?!

Sunrise and a Moose :)
What a lovely sunrise I get to enjoy each morning on my brief walk to work!
Shortly after arriving at school today, we were paid a visit by this fellow!

Well, hello fall!
In Jackson, fall seems to be a mixture of all seasons!
Friday morning...
Friday afternoon...
Considering the fifty-degree increase in temperature, our weekend afternoons just had to be spent hiking!
Here are some pictures from our hikes to Phelps Lake on Friday and Saturday. The well-groomed (and bear-free) trails provided for incredibly peaceful nature walks. The sights, smells, and sounds within Teton National Park reminded me of nature's invaluable trait of being tranquilly luxurious. As you can see from these pictures, Phelps Lake is perfectly surrounded by the breathtaking Tetons.
(We made sure to bring bear spray with us...)
The Grand!
The Rockefeller Center was a lovely tribute to Lawrence Rockefeller, who preserved this park for visitors to enjoy.
We returned to Teton National Park on Saturday, for another visit to Phelps Lake! This time, we hiked a different trail to the lake, and enjoyed it just as much! We were fortunate to have seen more fall colors on this beautiful, bear-free hike! We even spotted a couple of hungry and curious deer!
Experiencing this corner of creation has been nothing short of a blessing.
Thank you for following me on this humbling journey. :)

It's happening.
It's September 18th, and I woke up to snow. Okay, it wasn't on the ground... BUT STILL!
In other news, it's 103 degrees in Arizona today...

September 2013: What I've been up to...
Becoming acquainted with my new students by sharing one of my favorite hobbies... cooking with family! :)
We spent quite a bit of time working on getting these quotes on the walls. They turned out great and are so lovely to see each day!
Moira and I participated in Old Bill's Fun Run, a 5k for charity!
Another great view on a bike ride...
Enjoying beautiful Jackson sunsets with new friends.
The Taste of the Tetons was a fun (and delicious) community event in the town square.
Some friends and I rode the tram to the top of the ski hill at Teton Village. It's 10,050 feet high... what a view!
And then the clouds rolled in...
Waffles at the top of the mountain!
nutella waffles!!! :)
Exploring Jackson Hole has been so enjoyable the last two months! The cooler weather is making me excited for a crisp fall and a snowy winter - which will be here before we know it!
More updates to come soon! :)
